We offer this huge, 105-year old, leather-bound volume HISTORY OF BAY COUNTY MICHIGAN and REPRESENTATIVE CITIZENS , Edited and Compiled by Capt. Augustus H. Gansser, Bay City, Michigan. Published by Richmond & Arnold, Chicago, Illinois, 1905; 726 pages. Contains many antique black/white photographic images of this city on the banks of the Saginaw River. Brown embossed leather on covers and spine; gold gild print and decorations on spine; marbled green and gold gild end pages; gold gild page edges. Front cover cleanly separated at front spine joint; all contents tight, clean and complete; rear cover still firmly attached. Many photos of locations and citizens in and around Bay City and old West Bay City. Measurements: 11 3/4 high x 9 1/2 wide x 4 thick. Dogs in Rhyme 1927 International Paper Child Scarce Description: Offered for sale is this scarce and unusual dog book titled Dogs in Rhyme, published in New York by International Paper Goods, 1927. Poems and fabulous illustrations, many in color. Scarce; only one copy found in OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) and one at the AKC (American Kennel Club) Library in New York. An interesting note about all of the illustrations is that they were printed separately and glued onto the covers and pages. The dog head/profiles were glued onto the top of the attached background illustrations. It is unknown whether or not the picture attachments were done by the publisher (perhaps completely hand bound) or the recipient of the dog book. Condition is fair. The thick paper front and back wrappers are detached, chipped and soiled. The dog picture on the back is missing. The Pekingese dog head/profile on the first page is also missing. Included and attached are the Puppies on front cover, the Police Dog, the Collie, the Boston Terrier, the Bull Dog, and the Bloodhound. Though a little tanned and soiled, the pages themselves remain firmly stapled together. Book will be shipped via USPS, insured, available worldwide.Payment:Prices are in $US.
