Hardbound with dust jacket in very good, 269 pages includes a TABLE OF CONTENTS, ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, INTRODUCTION, GLOSSARIES (2), the first complied from the work of Lorin Andrews Dictionary of Hawaiian Language published in 1865, the second compiled from the work of Mary K. Pukui and Samuel H. Elbert, first published in 1957, NOTES, an ABRIDGED BIBLIOGRAPHY, an INDEX and the MUSEUM ACCESSION NUMBERS, measures approximately 9 ¼ x 12 . Additionally, two ERRATA Sheets are laid in at the front, one bookmark sized and one larger, but both seem to devote identical errors.
The dust jacket reveals calabashes front and rear on a black background. It is clean and glossy, virtually without wear except for three short, scratches to the cover panel. Two of these penetrate the color but none go through or cause impressions to the reverse side. No price is stated but neither are the corners clipped. The jacket has been placed in a large, size appropriate Archival Quality dust jacket cover and makes a most striking presentation.
