Check out my !This book has never been fully read,because the pages at the top have never been cut ,so they are stuck together,this is typical of old books,It is a general stud book from the world famous Wetherby,printed in 1917,and is 1st ed vol 23 it appears to be full calf,but I could be wrong.The book is near mint and nearly a 100 years old,a minimal amount of foxing on the front and back endcovers,but what do you expect for a book this old,I think this is the best book around for its age and condition,if you can find a better one let me know haha,just joking.Agreat deal,i am only selling this due to a marriage commitment.A really good book at a good selling price,check out amazon and see there prices ,if they even have one.

London. William Blackwood and Sons. 1854-1855. 5 Volumes Octavo. First Issue (of the collected works). Bound in tan polished calf over marbled boards. Spine in 6 compartments gilt decorated and with contrasting spine labels. All edges marbled to match. Engraved frontispieces. Crowns rubbed, edges with shelfwear, otherwise very good. Previous owner name to FFEP. All joints sound and in serviceable condition. No broken boards. A nice set.

Samuel Warren (23 May 1807 - 29 July 1877), novelist, born in Denbighshire, son of a Nonconformist minister. After studying medicine at Edinburgh he took up law, and became a barrister, wrote several legal text-books, and in 1852 was made Recorder of Hull.
Warren sat in the House of Commons for Midhurst 1856-1859, and was a Master in Lunacy 1859-77. He was the author of Passages from the Diary of a late Physician, which appeared (1832-37) first in Blackwood s Magazine, as did also Ten Thousand a Year (1839). Both attracted considerable attention, and were often reprinted and translated. His last novel, Now and Then (1847), was a social novel of c ...
